About Elena:
Originally from Russia, I moved to Canada at 19 and immediately felt like I belonged here. I was fortunate enough to travel around the world and live in different countries, to meet people from all corners of the planet that changed my perspective on life.  It took me a little while to figure out what my one true calling is and to be honest, I don’t think I have just one. I always had multiple interests and hobbies, including photography, and would dive in deep in an area and then get involved in something else. In time, I realized what interests me most is staying connected to other people. At the moment, I’m a 1st year student at Capilano University, studying Communications. I want to be more involved in student life, exploring my creative potential to the fullest, and this is why I joined PhotoVoice project.
